Easter 2009

You are never too old to color Easter Eggs. The kids had fun coloring eggs. Luckily, they really like to eat them too!!!
Here they are!
A rose and her thorns. HA HA HA!! Just kidding boys! Megan can hold her own to these fellas! Happy Easter!
The Saturday before Easter, the kids went with cousins to dive for Easter Eggs. It was really fun and the first time we had done it! What a great idea!

Happy "Sweet 16" Nick :)

Friday night, my friend and I threw a big birthday party for our "to be" 16 year olds! Can you believe it!! Kim and Nick had a blast. We did it at a church house close by and by the end of the night we had 31 teenagers there! We did a Murder Mystery dinner, blindfolded musical chairs and "oh snap". It was so much fun and we are very glad they only turn 16 once in their lives!
Doesn't he look so happy? And almost OLDER??? Happy Birthday Nick!!
Preparing for the dinner to begin!
All their friends singing (horribly I might add) to Nick and Kim.
Blind-folded musical chairs.....hilarious!!
This game was the funniest ever! Greg couldn't stop laughing! The kids thought it was a blast too....we just need to improve it so the cord doesn't snap!! OH SNAP!!
We even had Brain Freeze slushies! Found some great plastic Martini glassses. Great with Slush!!!

The kids aren't very happy about it but they will be kept under control with Gma Linda and Gpa Don. So, maybe their vacation will be just as good. Irish Twins

What are Irish Twins? It’s the term given to babies in the same family that are less than 1 year apart in age. Well, my Irish Twins are now 9. I have two 9-year-olds for exactly one month!! They are so fun! Good thing that they get a long. They are like 2 bear cubs....and they are so fun! Can't believe that my babies are getting so old....but I'm not getting old for sure!! Here they are! Megan and Matt!!!

Bubble Wrap

Ok. I am thinking of investing in human size bubble wrap. This blog is turning into more of a medical record of accidents than fun things we are doing!!! So, I was looking at bubble wrap thinking that would be ok to land on if you fall or get in an accident! Just wrap up each family member before they go out the door in the morning. Sweet! Bubble wrap is my new friend!!!

The "Crash"

Well, what an exciting day! My friend Natalie and I were going to go take our kids to get their pictures taken at Walmart. When we set out on our journey, everything was calm and normal. (Yes, even with teenagers in the car!) She was driving her Durango, and we were on our way. About 4 miles from home is where the incident occurred. It was at a very busy intersection and we ran into a Chevy mini van spinning it 90 degrees and blowing out the 2 rear side windows. The lady was so nice, the best kind of person to get in an accident with. Even hugs were exchanged at the end of the endeavor.
The Durango is probably totalled and we do not know yet about the mini van. Accidents are no fun.
Luckily, no one was hurt other than some stiffness and a little whiplash. We had 5 kids with us. Most of which have never been in a car accident before....(well, maybe some of them.....that one winter when I drove through Natalie's closed garage door because of ice.......hummmmm - oh the adventures!) So Nick, Megan and Matt were my kids in the car and Sydney and Kim were Natalie's kids. Megan had on her seat belt but Matt and Nick put theirs on after we were stopped.....not sure why. Needless to say, everyone is doing really good at always wearing their seat belts. How would it be to be 38 and never been in a car accident.....driving or passenger. This was Natalie's first accident. Wish I could say that....I kind of lost count........ :)
Guess we will just get the kids pictures taken another day.................

We had FHE with our friends at the park. It was one of the many nights that Greg was working late, so it was good to do stuff with everyone! A little flag football for the kids...they had a blast!
Ben Lomond Peak...love the clouds on it!
The weather was so amazingly beautiful. A perfect fall evening to play at the park!!

General Conference

We had the opportunity to go to the afternoon session of General Conference on Saturday, Oct. 4. It was very cool. When we walked in the conference room....you could feel the spirit so strong. My kids thought it was a great family activity.
Our adopted daughter, Pieper, came with us. It was POURING rain that day. But still a great day!

Check out Matt! The dentist is definately better than when I was a kid. He has on the "happy gas" and he is listening to the TV that is on the ceiling. The remote is in his hand. Good for kids!
