Eden Balloon Festival

Every year we go over the mountain to the Eden Balloon Festival. This was I think our 7th year the Pace family going to watch the balloons. We get there EARLY as the sun is coming up and watch as they fill the balloons with hot air and then launch them into the sun-rising sky. We usually take hot chocolate and donuts. And of course blankets cause it is a little chilly this time of year!! We watch and choose our favorites. It is just really fun!
Here are the kids and their morning beauty!! They don't care! They have so much fun!
Yes, mom beauty! (Freak!) And here are the girls.......

California 2008

All the Grandkids at Huntington Beach! We had a great day!!!! Matt playing in the sand at the beach. Josh, being strong against the very hard and fast waves. Those waves were HUGE. Ryan and I had a blast riding the waves!!! Ben at the beach! What a great day!!! Nick with his "safety" goggles. They do work good to see underwater for sure!!! Here is Megan. She and the cousins had fun just trying to run away from the tide. It was fun to just watch them! Brook's wife Sheri made all 31 of us matching Disney shirts! It was so fun! So, in most pictures, we are in red. This is Greg's parents with all 17 grandchildren. Here we all are! Everyone except Grandma, Grandpa, baby Hannah and baby Moses! Quite the crowd!!! We LOVE Mickey Mouse!!!! Here are the "red kids" at California Adventure. Wow, we had SOOOO much fun! I want to go back! It is just fun to play every single day, all day/night long!!! "It's a Bug's Life" at California Adventure. Fun 3D movie! Which one is more Goofy? HAHA Fun with cousins at Disneyland!! Matt, Alane, Ben and Mindy's husband awesome Ryan. We just had so much fun!!! Ben, Alane, Matt, Megan & Josh! Riding on the "Jungle Cruise"! The red squadron!! Splash Mountain was a blast! Here we are at midnight getting all wet and having a great time!!! Uncle Greg with Jaren. His first time to like being up on top of someone's shoulders!!! Yeah Jaren!! The house we stayed at had a lot of things for the kids to do. They had a whole trunk of these fun hats!!! The kids had a great time wearing them! In between Disneyland we found time to go to Universal Studios. Seemed much funner when I was a kid, but we can say we went. As you can see, it was plaid day for the kids and Alane. Greg did his best with the shirt!!! Pictures with the cousins and the fun hats in front of the house we stayed in. Here we are, minus Nick cause he taking picture, at Sea World. Stupid wheelchair. People really aren't very nice to the disabled I found out!!! But I wouldn't suggest breaking ANYTHING while on vacation. The show still went on and we were able to do everything on the schedule, but I think we may have been quite a bit slower than we normally would have been. The teeth of a SHARK!!!

Broken COLLARBONE!!!

What is up with that? Yes, we can say that Disneyland had left a "scar" for life on me! After today's surgery that is. It is hard to explain or even imagine how the whole incident happened. We had just had lunch in a parking lot by Disneyland and were getting ready to go back into the park...I was chasing my son (we were just playing, and yes, he is 15..and I WOULD have caught him!) Anyway, I stepped (really ran) off the curb and thinking that the mobile parking curb thingy (don't know the correct term for it) was in a normal position. Apparently, I took flight, did a flip of some sort in the air and landed on my collarbone/head/knee/hand/ear. I have found the weirdest bruises in the weirdest places! Anyway, all is good and going in for surgery today to get the 300% moved bones back to their own zip code! Can't wait for that. The funniest thing is that I fell in a handicap parking stall. I guess I'm not getting any younger and someone is trying to give me a sign!! THE X-RAY See the one that is turned the wrong way?
Right after surgery......I was so cold, so I had all those yummy warm blankeys!!!
Here are my 12 stitches. Looks like a caterpillar or something on my shoulder! Amazing!!

DISNEYLAND HERE WE COME!

We haven't had a BIG family vacation for years! The kids are so excited and we can't wait (uh huh, driving in a van for HOURS with 5 kids who love to talk.....) We leave on Friday, July 25th to spend some vacation time with all of Greg's siblings. The kids have been packing all week and can't believe it is finally here! So, I'm sure there will be much, much more to post! YEAH!!!!
